FAQ

Common questions about tariff recovery.

Don't see your question? Get in touch →

Am I owed a tariff refund?+
If you imported goods into the US between 2018 and February 2026, paid IEEPA tariffs (HTS Chapter 99 codes 9903.01 or 9903.02), and were the Importer of Record, then yes, you are likely eligible for a refund. We can confirm in our free 48-hour eligibility review.
What does it cost?+
Nothing upfront, ever. We work on pure contingency: a percentage of recovered tariffs, paid only after CBP releases your refund. If we don't recover anything, you owe us nothing.
What is the CAPE process?+
CAPE (Consolidated Administration and Processing of Entries) is the new CBP system launched on April 20, 2026 for processing IEEPA refund requests. We file CAPE Declarations on your behalf through the ACE Portal.
Do I need my customs broker involved?+
Not necessarily. If you grant us a Power of Attorney, our licensed customs brokers can file directly with CBP on your behalf. We coordinate with your existing broker if you prefer.
How long does the refund take?+
CBP guidance indicates 60 to 90 days from acceptance of the CAPE Declaration to refund disbursement via ACH. More complex cases under review can take longer.
What if my entries are already liquidated?+
Phase 1 of CAPE covers entries within 80 days of liquidation. For older liquidated entries, we pursue recovery through future CAPE phases or directly via the Court of International Trade.
